Cool, that's my neighbor! Boy, this makes me miss the funky Honda Elite 80cc scooter I had when I lived in San Francisco. And here, there are no hills!

Even if they are not vintage, scooters are big fun. (But don't forget your helmet! See craigslist.com for some.)

Percy has worked diligently to get Buffalo 66 up and running. Forgoing his own scooting pleasure to keep us all on the road. Percy takes care of my Stella at a moments notice. With fuel prices going to $3.00 a gallon for 87 octane, scooters are the answer. I topped off my tank yesterday and took a 50 mile ride to Chestnut Ridge and surrounding parts with three of my scooter friends and came home with half a tank to spare. A pure waste of gas on a gorgeous sunny day. But a fantastic mode of transportation that is becoming more and more popular. I ride Stella to work almost every dry day startin in March. Good location and a great scooter guy. Good luck Percy. Nice story.

I was wondering what that Buffalo 66 was. I do my laundry at Lake Effect and have seen the sign. It is exciting to start to get small businesses and people moving back to Main St. Also out for my own curiosity, is he from Buffalo und spricht Er Deutsch?

Well Buffalo 66 is up and running. Percy fixes and restores scooters. Soon he'll have a larger inventory as he is always on the lookout for one that will make a great ride for someone.

Recently the Buffalo News interviewed Percy (3+ hours) and then did a photo shoot. It ran on Sunday May 28th. Thinking the article should be informative about the Buffalo Scooter society.. A smattering of Vespa info....

The great photo had a small sample of the Buffalo group. Taken on a Wednesday mornig when most of us were at work. Well four out of 30.....

Her scooter is under consturction and is pistachio. The Vespa pictured is Christines(seated on it) and is mint in color.

The Buffalo News did a disservice to scooter society of Buffalo.

Newell please contact Percy and reinterview him for a real story of how Buffalo is combatting high gas prices and looking cool doing it.

See you at the Dyke March this Saturday...hopefully.
