I totally agree, with the bones of Buffalo built around a walkable lifestyle it is easy to commute via bike to most parts of the city. It would actually be easier if small efforts were made to make the life of a bicyclist easier.

If you ever want any pictures of bike infrastructure from others places let me know I have takes a decent amount of images from my travels.

Don't forget that Buffalo's flat geography makes our city the perfect place to get around on two wheels! The Netherlands and Denmark have great bike cultures and those countries are both very flat.

Same with Germany. They have hills, snow and love their cars also but they have also promoted and grown a strong bike culture in the past 40 years. Remember they built the first highways and definitely use cars like a status symbol like the US so I think we could learn a lot from how they have learned to share the road and infrastructure with bikes and pedestrians.

How does one go about joining this fantabulous organization if they cannot make the meeting on Thursday?

We should all read and get behind another article that has gotten no attention on BRO.

The Greenway plan has been approved.

I think this is headline news for our community.

I'm not a bicycle nut.....but how great will it be when we can walk/run/bike along our waterfront/riverfront from buffalo to niagara falls and beyond.

scooter- there was an article up yesterday on BRO about the approval of the Greenway Plan... it's great news that no one seems to be paying enough attention to. Maximizing our natural assets and setting aside money to take care of them is a great step forward for our entire region!!
