I can promise you I will be one of the first in line when this place opens. Allen is really attracting some fantastic restaurant concepts. I've had high hopes this city would develop a restaurant scene to match Toronto's, and places like this are a step in the right direction. Allen could be Queen West if Buffalo didn't go out of its way to prevent new restaurants from opening. The amount of paperwork that goes into obtaining the permits is absurd. I'm thrilled that there are people like Mr. Hogle out there putting up with the red tape and making things happen.

BRENWILS25...the La Creperei at The Paris Hotel is the #1 Crepe cafe in North America, they do like $5million plus per year out of that little stand! Crazy. The Crepe Cafe in Toronto on Queen St. West is awesome as well... Buffalo is so 9 years behind with everything!!!

Does anyone remember the creperie that was on the south side of Allen? I think it was the block west of where LaTeeDa is. Was it the late 80's?

At any rate, they had a chicken and wild mushroom crepe that was to die for. I think this will be a wonderful addition to the restaurant scene, as well as the neighborhood. I, for one, can't wait.

I'm guessing that you know this intersection given your handle. The first restaurant is a breakfast/lunch cafe inside Hogle's shop, Steel Crazy. The second restaurant, Le Crazy Crepe, will serve dinner. It is located in the building next door to Steel Crazy. The face of it is currently painted blue. The buildings are separated by a LARGE patio. Both buildings have access to the patio.

So he's opening TWO crepe restaurants in the same place at the same time? This article confuses me.....

Regardless, it's an exciting idea and I can't wait to try them. Banana and Nutella is all I have to say!

you miss bob and amanda too? topic was the best place in the world. and that was back in the day, when allen was even more shady then it appears (and when i say appears i mean just that - it isn't as bad as it seems) to be now. i had been watching the old topic building for a very long time. goldenlark is right about the amount of hoops you have to jump through to get a restaurant and/or bar opened in this city. i'm sure mr. hogle will do fantastically if he persists as these two buildings are two of the best structures in that immediate neighbourhood. the best part is the patio will be open again! can't wait to see it transform.

Just got back from Vegas, and the longest line I waited in....the Crepes window in Paris Hotel. Also, Breckenridge, Colorado has this amazing Crepes stand, serves as a late night eatery as well, just incredible! I will be first in line, just mad he got to it before I did!

Eddie makes things happen and has helped others to do also, given his dedication to details this project should do well.
