new Pano's - full of customers, parking lot full of cars, a few boycotting protesters on sidewalk getting snowed on

    Guaranteed best seller.

I got two of the City Hall - one for me and one for my sister.

    They look GREAT.

If you check with them, they might still order one of the City Halls for you - they had to re-order fior me...

I voted for the Niagara Mohawk Bldg. (Electric Co. Bldg.) downtown...

As one of the designers of the Buffalo snow globes you have been reading about, I thought I would share some of our pre-design discussions. I thank all of those who have voted on your favorite choice for the next limited edition snow globe. We have also received many other suggestions almost all of which are on our long list of possibilities. We narrowed down a choice of 5 based on the uniqueness of the building or theme. Also, the fact that when a small mold is created and inserted into a round glass globe in water, funny things happen to the shapes and sizes that limit our sculpturing of the mold. Long rectangular or flat square buildings (such as the obvious choice like the Darwin Martin house) would be almost impossible to recreate. In the future there may be a design paying homage to the house. We also have to be aware of licenses, and recognition, and existing similarities. An early leader in the "other " category is the Central Terminal. We left that off this vote, as it was too similar to the city hall design. Hopefully with a good economy we will offer more than one design a year. Stay tuned for the results of the votes.

i bought one last year for my m.i.l. and plan to buy her another this year. i think the best option is the pan am tower. many of the other choices are cool, but maybe not as retail friendly. the botanical gardens should do their own.

Definitely the Grain Elevator. Since they don't get the same respect the others do, there might not be any left in a couple years.

I agree with the statler tower globe, this way we can give one to whomever ownes the building at the time the globe comes out and say...this is what it should look like!

iconic buildings...well nothing has yet surpassed city hall

but in addition to the list I would put the Statler and the Central Terminal and if the passenger concourse were rebuilt then the DL&W.

Great Idea, I want them all, its a hard choice, I went to the vote link and voted for Crystal Beach. It's in all of our recent memories.

Beersponge, I purchased the City Hall globe last year and was impressed with the design and detail. I look forward to this year's globe. Thank you for the good work.
