Congrats on the second location. No this is not the Canadian coffee shop, this is a local business trying to improve the landscape of downtown eatery. The second cup has more than coffee. Negative thinking and close mind, the Buffalo way I guess. Give it try and read the complete article.

Congratulations Kat- the space looks great. And congratulations to Buehl owner/redeveloper Roger Trettel for saving this building and converting it to commercial and loft space. We need a few more Rogers and Kats.

The photos look great!! when can we see some artwork on the walls? And yes, a few trees would be nice around this area too and a bench or two as well.

I"m all for trees, but trees here would hide the iconic image of the Buehl Building, made famous in Charles Burchfield's 1929 painting 'Rainy Night'. That painting included no trees.

I was at the 2nd Cup on April 5th hosting a private party, Yes they do Private Parties/Events too. The food was excellent, the staff was marvelous and accomadating (even found me a band-aid when I scrapped my thumb). Kat does an excellent job everytime and I would encourage anyone to stop by for a bite or to hold a event there. PS they do have artwork now even a copy of Burchfield's "Rainy Night."

Is this the second wave in a Canadian coffee shop invasion of downtown Buffalo? http://www.secondcup.com/

Actually, the tree plots that I am referring to are in front of the library and west on Court. They would help to obscure the parking lots and blank walls in the neighborhood.

Three of us went on Sunday. The space is great and the staff is very friendly. The food was good, basic short-order deli fare. Grilled cheese panini with tomato and onion. Breakfast sandwich with scrambled eggs and cheese on waffles. Coffee. Lots of sun and a good crowd.
