Let me repeat, This morning, officials gathered together to celebrate the grand opening of the Frank Lloyd Wright Boathouse. Can you believe that this project was almost dead on schedule? This was one of those "I'll believe it when I see it projects" that can sometimes take years and years to see to completion. That was not the case with the FLW Boathouse. As a matter of fact, public school students have already been using the facility for two weeks now. Oh, and for anyone that was hinting that this was not a big project due to the limited capacity within... the interior is far more spacious than it looks from the outside. The wood floors conceal radiant heating units to prevent warping. Both manmade and natural lighting is bright and cheery. The rooms and amenities are first class, and the views are breathtaking. This timeless endeavor was built to withstand both the natural elements and the architectural tests of time.
