The 2005 WYOP Coalition presents the 4th Annual World on Your Plate Forum - a day of learning, community, and food. Join us in this opportunity to explore food security and food politics in creative, thoughtful, and hands on ways! There will be music, literature tables, fair trade and organic vendors, plus other opportunities for advocacy in support of alternatives for sustainable living throughout the day. Workshops offered include: Community Supported Agriculture, Composting, Ethical Eating, Food as Medicine, and many more.
The keynote speaker for this event will be John DeGraaf. Producer of the acclaimed documentary and book "Affluenza," John will speak about challenging the epidemic of overworking, over-scheduling and time famine - all of which threaten our health, our families, our relationships and communities.
An organic, vegetarian lunch is included in the registration fee. Call 894-2013 for more info.
