    If someone wants a new house, they can buy mine, tear it down and build what they want. Oh wait, thats too expensive. Guess we have no choice but to to spend millions of taxpayer dollars to make affordable luxury housing.

    We want investors to come into the neighborhood and renovate existing structures. Fixing what exists here now will raise more in taxes than ignoring it and letting absentee landlords run it into the ground.
