BRO Quick Post: Pop over to CPO tonight (Saturday)

Story Options

Just a quick invite to pop over to the CPO Club at foot of Porter (next to Buffalo Yacht Club at the foot of Porter) right now-- tonight. You couldn't be more welcomed than to just stop by...free parking too.

Mary Dolce (former owner Dolci's Bakery) asked BRO to put the word out that the party is a rather spontaneous outcome of today's ceremonies. She's led a great team to put on a weekend celebration for our Veterans. Ceremonies have been going on last night and today-- but there's loads of food (free) on the table-- cheap drinks-- and great neighbors. Come have a cider or a beer with General Sabo and friends.

TV's 2,4, and 7 were there, as well as the News and BRO. We'll do a wrap report tomorrow-- but now-- come on over an join in the fun!

It's Dolci, not Dolci's, Bakery. Once again the odd Buffalo habit of affixing the possessive S to every business name asserts itself.

Yes. Read comments by Frankster's. Best on the Buffalo Rising's web site, and without any odd habits.

Thanks, Atwater. We're available 24/7 to serve your opinion needs. Odd habits can be booked in advance at a Frankster's near you.

For "specialists" such as myself, even the odd habits at Frankster's are no longer enough. That's why I and others like me go to Zimmerman's.

I know this might sound really dumb (especially because it's over already...) but what's the CPO club?

Oh, and I think her name is Mary Gross, not Mary Dolce, which just means "sweet" in Italian.

Frankster, my friend, you are indeed half-sorta right on this one. Mary Dolce was once married to MIckey Gross (and still remain great friends) but she goes by Dolce, after her grandmother. You'll see that byline-- Mary Dolce-- as the author of her forthcoming novel about sex, love and baking sweets.

I humbly stand corrected and I can't wait to see if the novel has thinly disguised versions of the old Dolci crew. Carl, come back! All is forgiven!
