Check out this harbor in Key West, Florida
Can you imagine if Buffalo had a waterfront like this? I mean how hard could it really be. Maybe we would hear a lot less bitching and complaining from folks about how awful our waterfront is. Really, look how beautiful the water is, check out how many boats the harbor attracts, look how impressed the people in the photo are with the sight of waterfront activity. Notice the observation deck in the far distance? Psych! This is the Buffalo waterfront. I was over at Shanghai Reds (formerly Crawdaddy's) to check out the new addition of their upper deck patio. Replete with fire pits, tiki bar, linen covered tables, a limitless number of staff, and manicured surroundings that rival any boat club in Florida. The entranceway features ponds and little waterfalls/gardens... the inside of the restaurant has recessed candles in the walls... and the vista overlooking the harbor is amazing. These guys have really come a long way from Crawdaddy's. Hey, Rome wasn't built in a day, and either was this. The point is that it's here, in Buffalo. Seriously, go check it out.

My Favorite Buildings
This house on Richmond Avenue is very unusual for Buffalo. It stands out among its wooden neighbors not only in material but also in detail and form. Buffalo is overwhelmingly constructed of wood with brick coming in a distant second as a material. Stone houses are very rare. Also rare is the Palazzo styling and shape of this house. The Wait is Almost Over - BR's New Site
As we mentioned in our previous post, we’re in the process of changing the Buffalo Rising site. We’re almost there as we expect to launch the new site on Friday, December 19th.
