FLW For the Budding Architect

The Darwin Martin House is sponsoring a one day architecture workshop for young students.
For a fee of $25 kids will participate in hands on experience in architectural design in the midst of one of Frank Lloyd Wright's greatest master pieces. Children will gain first hand architectural design experience through seeing, learning and building. They will design a structure based on Wright's principles and then create their own model to take home. All materials are included in the fee.
Enrollment is limited. Register by calling 716.856.3858.
The seminar for kids grades 4-6 will be held January 31, 2009 from 11:00 to 4:00. Kids in grades 6-8 will meet February 7, 2009, also 11:00 to 4:00.

As we mentioned in our previous post, we’re in the process of changing the Buffalo Rising site. We’re almost there as we expect to launch the new site on Friday, December 19th.
In the meantime, posting will be light as we log new stories in the new publishing system which will only be viewable when we launch on Friday.
As always, we appreciate our users’ patience as we make this transition but we promise it will be well worth it. With faster load times, a comment view …
