Inside Four Treasures on Delaware Avenue
Delaware Avenue is the home to many of Buffalo’s architectural treasures. On Saturday, June 2, you will have the rare chance to get inside four of these landmarks. Join Martin Wachadlo, author of Oakland Place, as he explores the exclusive Saturn Club (1922), a beautiful example of Tudor Revival. See the Delaware Avenue Baptist Church, with a truly spectacular interior unchanged since it was built in 1895. Then, look around the Goodyear Mansion (1903), the luxurious home of one of Buffalo’s most prominent families. Finally, we will enter the Greek Hellenic Church, beautifully restored after a terrible fire in 2003. After the tour, stay at the church and enjoy one of Buffalo’s favorite summer events, the Greek Festival.
The two-hour tour begins at 9:30 a.m. Meet at the Saturn Club, 977 Delaware Avenue. The cost of the tour is $20.

My Favorite Buildings
This house on Richmond Avenue is very unusual for Buffalo. It stands out among its wooden neighbors not only in material but also in detail and form. Buffalo is overwhelmingly constructed of wood with brick coming in a distant second as a material. Stone houses are very rare. Also rare is the Palazzo styling and shape of this house. The Wait is Almost Over - BR's New Site

the greek hellenic church is a must-see!! a truly beautiful restoration after the fire wiped out the building just a few years ago. and what better time to see it than during their greek festival!
