Kids Get A Kick Out Of Soccer Club

Kids Get A Kick Out Of Soccer Club

Story Options

The Buffalo Soccer Club has started out strong this summer, bringing kids from the East and West side together to enjoy the game. The program began on July 22nd and will wrap up on September 25th and has received overwhelming support from the local communities. Over 200 kids have enrolled in the House League program and play games at the JFK Community Center.

Megan Kiernan of Algonquin Studios says, “I guess the biggest development is the amount of thanks and willingness to help from parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles of the kids. It is great to see the kids having fun, but it is even better to know that the adults that bring them there appreciate what we are trying to do.”

The club received a grant from the US Youth Soccer Start Program to help fund their program. With the money they received, they purchased brand new soccer balls, shin guards, and cleats. “It is awesome to see all the kids running around in brand new stuff that they can call their own. For many of them, that doesn't happen often. We have several volunteers that regularly attend and the kids have gotten to know them very well, and look forward to seeing them,” explains Kiernan.

Overall the program has been a great success and they look forward to continuing that success each year. You can head out to the JFK Community Center and watch the league in action when they play on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6 PM till 7:30 PM. Visit the club’s website for more information.

I don't mean to be impolite, but your English is a little poor. I'm not sure if you asked me a question or even asked a question. I don't mention an academy in this post at all and from what i gather, you are either a soccer player who is interested in joining the Buffalo Soccer Club or you are instructing people to join an academy of some sort. Could you be a little more clear? I don't know if you're addressing me or someone from the Buffalo Soccer Club. I'd like to try to answer our question, but I'm not sure what you're asking. Does that make sense to you?

After reading the close to 90 partisan posts about Obama, this post was much needed. The second picture in particular gives some hope.
