http://archive.buffalorising.com/trend/archives/upload/2006/10/krudmart1-thumb.jpg Steve K's Krudmart headquarters aka Krudquarters hosted a kick-off party Friday night. The night gave fans and friends the opportunity to get inside the store for an initial glimpse of the place. Krudmart officially opens next Saturday, but from the looks of the festivities (and the interior) on Friday, Steve K has got things well under control. This is going to be a cool place to chill in Allentown, that is for sure. I spoke with Steve K (left) at the opening party and he had this to say, "Krudmart will be a place where fans of our store can hang. This is not just a store, it's a business that attracts a crowd of people who like to listen to good music and get together. This will be a store where there will always be something going on."

http://archive.buffalorising.com/trend/archives/upload/2006/10/krud3-thumb.jpg That last statement was an understatement from the looks of things. The party was hopping and the crowd was thoroughly enjoying the scene. The resident DJ had people jumping and though the shelves were not fully stocked, future customers got a peak at some of the featured designs that Krudmart is rolling out. The former Lightmakers store has undergone a quality conversion and I look forward to stopping in next weekend to see the end results. Thanks for the tip Jimmy C. http://archive.buffalorising.com/trend/archives/upload/2006/10/krud2-thumb.jpg

Why does this look like a Mommy & Daddy-financed effort to keep Junior off the streets?
