One Sunset Rises To The Occasion

One Sunset Rises To The Occasion

Story Options

Tonight, Buffalo welcomed the grand opening of One Sunset, Leonard Stokes' restaurant and bar. The young NBA player was on hand to welcome friends and guests, as the wait staff passed around samples from the menu created with the help of consultant Sam Reda, Executive Chef Bruce Bain, and Sousse Chef Jason Denton. The first floor was packed with well-wishers and curiosity seekers alike... it's not everyday that you have a star athlete open a restaurant in Buffalo. The fact that he did says a lot about the down-to-earth entrepreneur.

Leonard followed the transformation of One Sunset every step of the way. He was pleased with the final turnout (both interior and crowd), and walked around the establishment shaking hands and answering questions. Mayor Brown was on hand to congratulate Leonard in his latest endeavor. He spoke to the crowd who in turn applauded the two as they shook hands.

One Sunset is located at 1389 Delaware Avenue.

Talked to Sammy Reda today while shopping at Guercio's, he thinks the new place is going to be a "seriously good spot ". Sam is really up on the upstairs banquet area and talent in the kitchen, said the owner is really a class guy.

Is there a reason that you guys seem to never post a phone number for new restaurant? It would help. Directory assistance "just ain't what it used to be". Half the time they can't find a number or the number is listed in such manner a detective couldn't find it.

Went to eat there On Friday July 25, 2008, drinks were fine & food was great, I was really impressed with the Ribs. Service was timely, wonderful atmosphere. Menu was small and a bit limited, but I want to go back. A nice fine dinning experience.
