Party With PPG

The Partnership for the Public Good (PPG) was launched by the Coalition for Economic Justice as a “think-and-do” tank to help conduct research while promoting advocacy and communication amongst its numerous partner organizations. They are funded in part by their partner organizations, but also by the Community Foundation of Greater Buffalo. To keep the conversation going on how to increase the public good in public policy, the PPG needs more support. Luckily, they know how to ask for help in style.
With Edreys as their host, they’re holding the “Holiday” Movement Dance Party at the Ujima Theatre in the “Theater Loft.” With a retinue of deejays and musicians, it sure will be a dance party you won’t want to miss. Dance your heart out and make the holiday cheer last a little bit longer while helping PPG as well as the Ujima Theatre and Buffalo First. The party happens the day after Christmas at 545 Elmwood Avenue and starts at 9 PM. Tickets can be purchased in advance for half the price at brownpapertickets.com for just $5, but you can get a ticket at the door the day of for $10. Beer and win from Flying Bison will be on hand and you have to be 21 years old or older to get in, so be sure to bring your ID.

As we mentioned in our previous post, we’re in the process of changing the Buffalo Rising site. We’re almost there as we expect to launch the new site on Friday, December 19th.
In the meantime, posting will be light as we log new stories in the new publishing system which will only be viewable when we launch on Friday.
As always, we appreciate our users’ patience as we make this transition but we promise it will be well worth it. With faster load times, a comment view …
