Pedal Printing

Pedal Printing

Story Options

There's a new print shop on Tonawanda Street in Buffalo, and they're doing some very cool artwork. Pedal Printing's Isaac Menge and Eric "Biff" Bifaro have opened shop at 547 Tonawanda Street, and the posters are rolling out.

In business for just over a year, they have a current list of clients that include local businesses like Campus Wheel Works and Righteous Babe Records, as well as Vegan Treats Bakery in Pennsylvania. The also do a lot of work for national touring hard rock and punk bands, such as Polar Bear Club, the Constantines and Built to Spill, as well as European bands that come into the states and key into Pedal by word-of-mouth.

Additionally, Pedal Printing works with Supernaut Booking, selling posters that pay for themselves at shows Supernaut books. "We're at the high-quality art end, rather than promo," Menge said.

Both Menge and Bifaro are Buffalo born and raised. Menge has an engineering degree and Bifaro has a record label, Feral Kid Records. Each have been in bands; Menge most noted for White York and In Our Times, while Bifaro was part of I Object and is still playing with Plates and Brown Sugar.

"This has been a long-time hobby for us since we started printing our own band posters and record label covers," Menge said. "Now we're putting our knowledge to use."

Menge said, "We can do any design a client already has or do a design. We have a great team of artists." Pedal Printing's artists include Daniel Travis Romano, aka "Old Skulls"; Lauren Measure, aka "Black and Red Eye"; and Bobby Griffiths, aka "Gutter Magic".

Check out (and buy) their work at the "Punx Be Printing" poster art show November 29th.

great to hear about new businesses on T Street! Lets hope that this is the start of something great for Riverside and Black Rock... Remember it is always the artists that hit up a new neighborhood first. Riverside is a cheap, safe neighborhood that could really provide some affordability for new businesses and artists.

Black Rock is finally starting to be discovered and we welcome this new business.
