Todd Eberwine
If you're a fan of blues, you know that there are many who can play but few who can really add to the genre. Todd Eberwine and his band qualify for membership in that small group of players who are helping to evolve the blues. Last Friday they put on one of the best contemporary blues performances I've seen.
It was a blend of classic tunes with improvisational styling that drew such a huge crowd that the owners of Goodbar had to ask them to wrap the first set early to give the first crowd time to thin out and make room for the next.
Their next show should definitely be on your calendar.
Tuesday Feb 28th @ Goodbar 5pm for Mardi Gras Saturday Mar 4th @ Hickory Hill, Clarence Center.
Band members: Todd Eberwine- Guitar/Vocals Bill Siegler - Bass Guitar Jeff Hy - Drums Tom Scime - Piano/B3

I couldn't agree more. These guys rock-- and you wouldn't think it possible, but they may even get better after a couple shots! Amazing! Really though, everyone in the band is so in synch with each other and just so in love with making music, the jams that result are truly incredible. That energy and passion is evident every time they play, it really is so impressive to watch such a talented group. And Todd's guitar has a mind of its own, you just have to see it to believe it.
It is only a matter of time before the rest of Buffalo catches on.

I concur with Zack's sentiments on the Todd Eberwine Band (TEB)...having been an unofficial groupie at numerous shows over the past few months (who never quite got around to writing her own post - day jobs are the worst!), I've definitely seen the fan base for this local gem-of-a-group swell.
Todd's a great Buffalo boomerang story as well - born and raised here, moved to Texas, toured extensively with the original TEB during his blossoming musician days, then came back home to rock his native city with some of the best blues around.
The show on Friday was so amazing - and so well-attended that the bar's occupancy walked the line of a fire hazard. A guest performance by strummin' Texan Austin Welch (yes, he's Austin from Texas, ha ha) - one of the orignal TEB members - added a defining element to what was certainly the best performance I've seen to date.
As they just keep getting better (and more and more crowded!) I highly recommend y'all check out the fun next time it rolls around - and be sure to get there early!
