For just $5 you can fulfill your quest for those Stanley Cup playoff tickets while simultaneously helping an organization that is striving to make a difference for our city and some of it's most at-risk youth.

The Urban Community Corporation will be raffling off a pair of Sabres tickets, donated by Online Thymes, llc, for the first round (Game 2) of the NHL Playoffs. The seats are in Section 115 in the 14th row, and have a window price of $360 ($180 each). Getting these tickets at all - let along for $5 - would certainly make you the envy of, oh, every single person in this hockey-crazed city!

Tickets are available from Supreme Painting & Wallpaper during normal business hours at 1682 Clinton Street , and must be purchased prior to the drawing at the end of the second period of Game 1. Special arrangements for tickets may be made by calling 716.827.7100. The winner will be notified immediately. All ticket purchases will be tracked and posted online at www.uccbuffalo.org shortly after the drawing.

The proceeds from the ticket sales will be used to support the operation of the UCC, and help them continue their mission of revitalization in the inner city. The UCC's mission is to "provide marketable skills to at-risk, underprivileged young adults through the completion of neighborhood revitalization projects, thus enabling their economic self sufficiency and enhancing their positive contribution to family and community."
