WNY Youth Soccer Day - June 28th at All-High Stadium

Queen City FC wants to invite everyone to come out and celebrate WNY Youth Soccer Day, this Saturday, June 28th at All-High Stadium.
This is our second annual event and we encourage all local youth soccer players to join in the fun on Saturday. The festivities will start at 4:30 as Queen City FC's Reserve Team squares off against Celtic of the BDSL.
The big showdown kicks off at 7:00pm as Queen City FC take on Maine Sting in a must win game for the blues. We are knocking on the playoff door and this game has 3 huge points on the line for us. Last weekend we drew 1-1 to Maine in Bangor leading until the 93rd minute when a Maine goal gave us a draw.
The Hamburg Monarchs U-10 team will take to the field at halftime and many of their parents will be on hand to cheer them on.
Intense Milk will be at the stadium with free samples and things for all ages. We will also be planning some games and attractions for the children to entertain and also to get involved with the team. Players will be available afterwards for autographs and pictures as well.
Tickets are $5 for Adults 19 and over, and just $2 for any youth wearing their club soccer jersey. If you do not have a club jersey, just wear any soccer jersey and still enjoy the $2 tickets.
Food is available for purchase and we will also have tons of Queen City FC merchandise on hand to show your support for the team.
If you didn't see, Queen City FC's own Ryan Knapp, Director of Media Relations, was on Time Warner Cable's SportzBlitz program, which aired Monday-Wednesday at 5-6pm. He was on to talk about this game and to let all of WNY know what we have in store on the 28th.
So make sure to bring out the whole family this Saturday, June 28th starting at 4:30pm and cheer Queen City onto victory!!!

As we mentioned in our previous post, we’re in the process of changing the Buffalo Rising site. We’re almost there as we expect to launch the new site on Friday, December 19th.
In the meantime, posting will be light as we log new stories in the new publishing system which will only be viewable when we launch on Friday.
As always, we appreciate our users’ patience as we make this transition but we promise it will be well worth it. With faster load times, a comment view …

Sounds like a good promotion for soccer in this area. And for the BDSL! Though maybe next year they'll challenge us (WNY United).
And for Vivian - get with the times, soccer-hating is so 1990.

Does anybody know if the team has any plans to eventually move to a better league? Like maybe the USL 2nd division? Does the club have any ambitions?

Good one Vivian, as if we haven't heard that one before. You might as well have said SOC-CER? Even better.
Anyway Colin, yes we do have ambitions to move to USL. We are currently developing a plan that will take us there, and with the help of some local companies, that could very well be the case. Unfortunately it takes a lot of money to do it, and we need a solid fan base to help us build. Which involves all of you!
